Mora County Comprehensive Land Use Plan

The 2017 CLUP provides an in-depth view of Mora County’s current needs, challenges and provides recommendations for solutions. The first land use plan for Mora County was created in 1994, had it’s first revision in 2009, and was updated most recently in the 2017 Mora County Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The need for an updated plan was evident as many goals from the 2009 update were either achieved or unmet. A decade later Mora County needed a refresh and a framework for new goals and a look at what the current condition of the County is.

The plan consists of 13 sections including the History and Culture of Mora County, Land Use Development Framework, Water and Agricultural Lands, Forest Lands, Economic Growth and Sustainable Development, Housing, Public Utilities, Hazard Mitigation, Action, and Communication.
