Makah Housing Low Income Housing Tax Credit #2

SD+A began working with the Makah Tribe in Neah Bay, Washington in December 2016. We provided LIHTC funding application assistance including capital needs assessment, preliminary designs and cost estimates to rehabilitate twenty-two (22) existing homes, construct ten (10) new homes in three (3) different floor types and one community building. Unfortunately, Makah was not awarded funding in 2017.

We assisted the Tribe again in 2018 in a new round of applications for LIHTC funding. The Tribe was awarded funding and we immediately began work on construction drawings and specifications.

Final drawings were completed on August 1 and Makah’s force account crew is schedule to begin construction of the new homes at once. SD+A is scheduled to provide construction administration services throughout construction for both rehab and new construction through 2020.
